Parking & Bus

Overall parking is limited, event patrons are encouraged to consider the following parking guidelines:

Free ADA parking is available at the US Airways Parking Garage located on the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and 3rd Street (take Ash Avenue northbound to 3rd Street). The US Airways Garage will be available ONLY for ADA parking and reserved parking – parking pass required.

The following parking lots are available for a $10 charge.

SunCor Parking Garage
Rio Salado and Mill - Lot 59
Traffic on Rio Salado will be limited from Hayden to Rural. For SunCor Parking and Lot 59 access Rio Salado from Rural.
ASU Rural Road & Rio Salado
Rio Salado & Hardy Road ($5.00 charge)

Ride the Bus for FREE!
Board any bus in Tempe for FREE on July 4th. Park and ride from convenient locations, or catch the bus at your nearest stop. Most Tempe bus routes will operate special high-frequency service to downtown Tempe until 8 p.m. with return service until midnight.

Downtown Tempe drop-off/pick-up
All routes serving downtown will drop off and pick up on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and University Drive in the Tempe Center parking lot.

Avoid parking on the north bank. The Mill Avenue bridges will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Patrons who park on the north bank of the lake will NOT be able to walk across the Mill Avenue bridges to attend the event.

Utilize the parking lots on the outer areas of the event, via Priest Drive and Rural Road to minimize delays and traffic congestion.

Patrons traveling from the west should park at the lot located at Rio Salado Parkway and Hardy Drive.

Patrons traveling from the east should park at the ASU lots near Rural Road and Rio Salado Parkway. Traffic on Rio Salado will be limited from Hayden to Rural. For SunCor Parking and Lot 59 access Rio Salado from Rural.

Avoid parking in the downtown area. Spaces are limited due to construction and downtown business patrons. In addition, much of Mill Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic after the event.
